  • Looking for wall charger for Heng Long Sherman

Hello all! just got my first rc tank just as a casual hobbiest. It's a new Heng Long M4 Sherman and loving it, but the thing is the charger it came with does not have any indication lights of its status of how charged it is, i don't want to over or undercharge the tank. I did put in the battery to test and played around with the tank for a bit to see if everything works and it does.

So I am looking for a wall charger that I could use. The battery is 3800mAh 7.2V NiMH-battery pack. The current charger it came with says 7.2vDC 400ma with a 120v input.

or if you have any suggestions for a better battery/wall charger upgrade i could use that would be great. As i believe the charger and battery it came with is pretty cheap stuff.

Thank you I really appreciate and feedback.

Second the suggestion. MotionRC offers that for $59. If you have a USB-C cable, the SkyRC software allows you to monitor the charging status realtime on your PC or Apple device.

Be ware of iMax B6 knock-offs. They look like the SkyRC B6, much cheaper, but the software (on the charger) works poorly or does not work at all.

Since you get the NiMH 6 cell pack, you have an older version of the HL Sherman. MotionRC has a good Li-Ion pack upgrade.
Buy Admiral 7000mAh 2S 7.4V Li-ion Battery with Tamiya Connector online at Motion RC. Order online with fast delivery.

Would something like this work in the meantime for my Sherman? before I upgrade to a lithium battery?

Why waste $20 on a slow charger that does not work with your future Lithium upgrade? Yes, it works with the Heng Long NiMH pack.

If all you want to do is charge that pack, something like this would be fine, it would charge your 3800mah at .5C, good compromise between time to charge and being easy on the battery
