What kind of paint did you use? I just got a smattering paint from Mission Models in search of an OD I like, they seem to be decent enough, it's holding up to the bashing around so far.

I suspect that @skyowal can browse this forum without signin if still interested. At most similar forum, the ban is only temporary to cool things off.

I didn’t really see what his point was. He bought a tank from an eBay vendor. It was faulty, and it was replaced. He bought a second tank from MRC, which had defective components, which were replaced. Have I misunderstood something?

I got interested in the RC tank hobby through the 1:24 scale Tokyo Marui almost 30 years ago. Marui tank brings RC tank hobby to an affordable price range, but the scale was too small and the technology was not mature then. Heng Long came to the scene at the end of the 20th century and triggered the rapid growth of RC tank battle group. Until then, the tank IR battle was the exclusive game of a few Tamiya tank owners.

Non the less, our RC tank hobby is still a very small segment of the RC market. I will like to welcome and encourage more newcomers to this hobby. (I am a retired aerospace engineer and have no interest in RC business.)
