/high5 to another Girls und Panzer connoisseur.

I've used the Turret of a 1:35 GuP Maus as CAD reference for on my 1:16 scale E-100 currently pondering the idea of using some of the Character chatter as randomly occurring / triggered Sounds for the Model ( using the Country appropriate German DUB ). Maybe even go as far as to 3D sculpting a Figure though not necessarily one from the GuP Universe 🤣

I say go for it. Use the German Dub. I'm waiting for My Katyusha and Nonna 1/16 figures to come so I can finally finish this project.

Kuromorimine Girls' Academy ( Black Forest Peak Girls' Academy ) 😏 Did you create your own Decals? 🤔

If you want to greatly improve the looks of your models then I'd recommend having a look into the Night Shift YouTube Channel.

His Jagdtiger Chipping Tutorial in particular can really pull a model out of the gutter... Just don't skip the part where he first uses a lighter than the underlying paint color of the model as a chipping base with a Sponge ( and some Brush Speckling ) followed by the actual steel grey chipping using a microscopic Brush. It's time consuming AF - in particular since we're working in 1:16 - but well worth it... 👍

I need some pravda decals of various sizes (I have the KV2/T34/JS-2 lineup already). If you have a source for those in the correct scale to replicate Pravda for me, please shoot them my way :P

Let me get this right. Not being into GuP. The different schools represent the different Axis, and Allied countries from WW2?

I’d be interested to know too, as I’m working on some “what if” tanks.
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

In short, the show is about hs girls schools in a very fictional Japan that practice non lethal contact sports using ww2 era tanks in various wargame scenarios. It's an elective lol. Each of the larger schools have a theme, which essentially is just being weeabs for the various factions and cultures that are represented in WW2 history. So you'll see a soviet school, german, etc. Our protagonist's school is rag tag underdog no theme with a mix of everything. But it's all done in good fun and overall the show is light hearted and good natured and not too serious, and the makers do give great care to our beloved tanks so that's why I ended up liking it. And I'm not even an avid anime watcher.

Yes. All the different schools are assigned a Nationality, and they play them up. Stereotypes abound. But it's all in good fun. Plus, they're all on HUGE aircraft carriers, because, Why not?????

It's a great show. You have to get past the blatant disregard for physics. Focus on the Sports aspect of it, and the good sportsmanship between the teams.
