    HL IR sensors

Thought I saw somebody printing a shade kit for the hang long IR sensors. Did it work and are they still being produced?

I participated in the testing of those. It barely made any difference at all and was totally dependent on which direction the HL ir reciever faced. So it basically was no improvement so he ended the experiment and gave up on the idea and stuck with using the LEGODEI receiver

Yes they worked, BUT the results varied so widely because the stock HL IR receivers are so poorly made. The decision was therefore to not make them available because of the perception that they would "magically" fix all the failings of the HL receivers. Nothing can that!

As Rich said above your best bet is to install a LegoDEI receiver. At which point most fall in love with IR tank battling. Night and Day difference is an understatement.
