Such great detail shots! Thanks a million!
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

The Sherman is a crab 👍 and your wellcome when iv not got the kids I will get more next time .im happy to help as we all have a love and passion for the tanks and I’m only too happy to help because I’m very fortunate to live where I do and I believe in sharing the wealth. We also got to get photos of the Churchill mk2 that they’ve got there.

If you take more photos, I recommend you start a dedicated thread, "Bovington Tank Museum Photos". That'd be cool.

Hi all I got my one today and love it but I’m also having issues with the gun barrel recoil system it looked out of the box fine then all of a sudden the barrel started wobbling about and then the recoiling stopped

Time to open her up! Sounds like the barrel or the servo became detached.

I am having fits over the price. I have wanted a Brit model to compete my ww2 collection, but at 400 shekels, it's a bit beyond my budget. I would rather that Tongde ditch the plastic gearbox and have a steel gearbox + plastic road gear like Heng Long's "upgrade" option.

I took off my skirts today!

Sometimes thoughts work at each other.

1: McCleall posted some great shots from Bovington.
2: Often we like the way tanks look without side skirts. At a recent event I saw this on a Centurion.
3: I hadn't done anything to my Churchill since I got it. Usually I at least do some weathering but not in this case.
4: In Southern California tan tanks fit in better on our battlefields.

What does this add up to, you might ask?

A lot of work to be done; cutting, sanding, clean up, maybe some rebuilding and repainting, but it's all feasible.

I have to say that whole space between the tracks was completely clogged with brush. Hey! That's why tankers remove the side skirts.

cannot wait to see the final result !!
before going for the home run,..
did you consider to strip only the central section of the fenders; the one that could interfere w/ the turret traverse when deform,..
As alway ; thank you for your post

Thought about it, also keeping only the section by the panniers, but no, so many of the photos I saw had the whole fender sections removed!

I posted a quick, rough clip on YT just to show the exposed tracks running. This guy won't win any modelling awards. My hand tools made some bad cuts. Dirt and rust will cover most of it.

Have you tested the IR on it yet to see if it works with your other tanks or it's range? Curious as I bought that scratch and dent version. I haven't played with mine much as I've been trying to finish my Kranvagn.

I replaced the TD electronics with a Heng Long 7.1 board, a high power IR LED and a LegoDEI IR receiver.. It's been used on a number of outdoor battlefields.
