  • TORRO Sd.Kfz.251 / tentative release date?

    Dear RC tank community,

Are we heading to the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2024 for the TORRO Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf.D release ?

Don't know about torro, but have you checked out the WCP 251? I just happen to have one, and I just found out that my cat needs an operation that's probably gonna cost about 4 grand so I might be willing to sell it, if you're interested. WCP charges 600 pounds ($762 USD) plus postage from the UK, but I'd consider selling mine for $600. Plus postage, of course.

man almost $800 for a 3D print seems a little high.

as for the op's actual question no information is out for the torro model other then the 2024 catalogue so i would say September or later. price should be in the 250-300 range based on the m16 halftrack they make.

I agree that's pricey, but it's a quality piece with dual motors, and metal tracks. I really think this is the best 251 on the market today, and Will says he can't put kits together fast enough to keep up with demand. Mine was one of the prototypes so it's assembled with a servo and esc in place. Here's a box opening video if you want to see what it looks like. I'm not sure if Will is selling kits only or if he'll assemble them for you, but I imagine assembly is extra. I think mine would be a steal at $600 so I might not be willing to sell it after all. More thought required, and we'll have to see what happens Wednesday when I take the cat in for the consult. If I get lucky and she can just debulk the mass again instead of doing the full bulla osteotomy (yeah, you'll have look that one up) then I won't need the money quite so bad. The worst part is that I finally got the loot saved up for a killer 1/6 scale Panzer IV kit that I'll convert to a Nashorn and I might not be able to get it after all. But the cat has been with me for 10 years and is absolutely my best friend, so he comes first. I can always find another Panzer IV, but a bond like this one is irreplaceable.

          hello
Some recent 'old' pic of the upcoming TORRO Sd.Kfz.251 .
The plastic color seem a good rendition of the RAL7021.
Definitely less bluish-gray than some ot the HL release.
          Metal track!
          Driver port visor openable?
          cheers PZloco.
