I was looked at that first, but as I’m only getting the lower hull (for now), the placement of the on/off switch was the decider for me. The Mato one is placed on the top of the chassis. The one I’m looking at is placed on the back plate like the HL chassis I’m replacing.

Chassis got delivered today, and it’s better than I expected. All high quality metal parts.


For the most part everything has worked well, however there are a few issues that can be easily fixed.

1. The parts that are supposed to screw the front of the top and bottom hulls together don’t screw into the stock HL upper hull, meaning that, at the moment, the two pieces can only be connected at the back.

2. The hatch that covers the on/off switch is hard to open.

3. I’m not sure if something was put on the chassis to stop rust or something but it has a smell.

4. The front plate of the HL upper hull is slightly to large to slide right into the lower hull.

All in all it’s not a bad chassis, these are small problems that I’ve already mostly fixed.
Despite the heavy weight of it and being powered by 380’s it has a surprising amount of power and speed, and has exceeded my expectations.
