  • Tamiya Centurion conversion to IDF "Shot Kal"

I decided to convert my Tamiya Centurion which was already themed in an early IDF scheme (pre 1971 Shot) to a later highly upgraded version called the Shot Kal. The Kal version of the Centurion was "up armored" with ERA and a number of electronic features. The Kal version was what I wanted back when I originally built my Centurion more then four years ago, but the required accessories parts were not available until now.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago and DKLM RC finally released a complete Shot Kal conversion kit. Well of course I jumped at one knowing the quality of DKLMs products.

The Shot Kal Centurion kit arrived on Monday and was finished on Thursday. So here she is.

      Thank you.

The field is now available for use by Ca. clubs for limited special events. I probably should post photos of the entire field.

Basic field: Area is ~80' X ~40' (but can be expanded) with 200+ tress, 3 foot wide 8" deep river bead (can be dry or filled with water) with two bridges crossing, numerous hills and other obstacles. Structures are currently "citadel" concert theme which can be removed or easily rearranged to suit gaming needs. Lots of open room for maneuvering or to add additional structures/props to individualize game themes. Oh and it has ambient lighting for night battling.

That's just basics. I have numerous photos of the field on my Instagram @fsttanks showing tanks driving on it.

A few sections of the field.

Very nice field. I especially like the lack of weeds unlike ours😀
