  • Eye of the Tiger

    Since day one of my sickness for the RC Tank hobby.
    I always deplored the way vision port/periscope are built on stock RC Tank.

    If the eyes are the window of the soul,..
    Vision port are equally the reminder that those machine are operated by humans.

    The scene fo the movie Saving Private Ryan where gun shot are fired through the Tiger tank vision port was deplorable (pure abstraction ot the layers of glass).
    Poor hommage to the soldiers who fought with and against the most feared tank of WW2..

    Okaay,.. long short story..
    For my 1:16 scale RC Tank;
    I used piece of styrofoam (the type when you buy a steak)
    Cut it the size and shape of the vision port,.. and filled the hole (made it stuck into position)
    Then applied a same size piece of polarized film adhesive on it.
    This is the best way/result i found to enchanced vision port.
    Any tips/advice on this subject?
    On this never ending ''Battle'' to upgrade :)

    You would think that the manufacturers could spend a little bit of time to get some accuracy on some of their details.....
