Being that I've never heard of a "Hamacher & Schlemmer" in the like 22 years I've been messing with RC tanks, my vote would be the Heng Long. My guess is that Hamacher & Schlemmer

is some rebrand of a different manufacturer's tank.

Hamacher & Schlemmer is an old time American catalog company located in the Chicago suburb. They advertise for a life guaranty for their item. I suspect that they are selling either the Heng Long or one of the cheaper brand. It is hard to tell since they only show photoshopped pictures and no package box in the catalog.

The HL RC tank price from Toucanhobby.com is about half of the Hamacher & Schlemmer catalogue price. But Toucan offers only a 2 weeks warranty. You can decide who is the winner.

I am a small time spender RC tank hobbyist. Depending on North America stock, I ended up dividing my tiny budget almost equally among Nova Hobby in Canada, Toucan Hobby US Store and MotionRC almost equally. I also get upgrade parts from RichJohnson, Taigen/Hoben in Florida and DKLMRC.com in Hong Kong.

I do not buy from Hamacher & Schlemmer becasue I wouldn't know what product it is from their catalogue. And the high price is a huge negative too.
