First thing first.
I am in no way shape or form a ''master builder''or knowledgeable as some folks on this great forum.
To ''cracked open" a RC vehicle to do ''heart surgery'' is definetely not my forte.
My passion for WW2 armoured warfare and the RC tank universe is nevertheless intense.
Lot of time and $$ goes in this great hobby and bring me great pleasure
The same goes for reading post on HobbySquawk for years now.
Okay,.
I am a late buyer of the Torro schwimmwagen type166.
Buy it from Motion RC 3 months ago approximatively.
Stay away from it so long because i had doubt for the fragiliness/durability of the product.
Use it only on the driveway (asphalt)
Though the axle will broke first.
But it was finally a ''electronic/overheating'' that bring my Schwimmwagen to a halt.
What a sigh it was; it was dark outside when flame and smoke come out of the ventilation grille.
It was like if the vehicle suffered from a direct hit...
My question(s)/advice is
Worth the dollars $$/time to change the component?
And wich component are damaged? since no visible sign are apparent.
Apart ZANDATOY supplier from USA CA : cannnot find replacement component. (Zandatoys component are sold out).
IS resigned myself to enjoy my schwimmwagen as a static model display is the most reasonable (budget wise) decision?
I will be prudent before buying the upcoming TORRO Sd.kfz 251.(will wait for review)
Is the Schwimmwagen victim of the 1:16 scale?
Is it true that the TORRO electronic is know to be not reliable?
The ford GPA has good review though.
cheers PZloco
