Is there data available concerning the sales of the different company involving in the RC tank business?

Relevance of a tank for a company depend on how $$ the release will bring. (i suppose)
Relevance of a tank for a RC tank enthusiast depend on the era/conflict , or where historically is interest are.
Taste or preference doesn't matter at the end.
Since with each dollars spend ; the more offering and product diversity.
The growing popularity of our hobby will be assured.
A win win situation for both the company & customer.
Heard that the STUGIII is not the biggest sellers fo HL.
Hey what a paradox since i do not know personnaly a RC tank enthusiat that doesn't own a SturmgeschützIII (or two)

Chinese and Japanese use their own metrics when deciding on a new tank models to produce and it is mind boggling working with them. Almost nothing you mentioned is taken into the process.

One thing for sure is that is good. They have decided to start moving away from German WW2 tanks and into tanks from the Cold War and Modern era as these have a longer service history, wider audience and there is far more variety to choose from.

Also it is important to understand these companies focus on their main market which is Asia. Twice as many RC tank are sold there then the rest of the world combined.

Even in Asia, the 1/16 or larger scale RC tank market is too small to be statistically significant. In US, Germany and UK, there are more RC tank clubs than in Asia and the hobbyist are more free to spend in their hobby. Hong Kong and Singapore are the exceptional centers in Asia.
