HOW TO ADDRESS BROKEN GUN BARREL?

I accidentally broke the small machine gun at the base. What is the best way to address short of buying a whole plastic set? Isn't it a simple clear rod painted black outside? Dai

This is on the King Tiger and this is where the LED flashes through. I think all tanks with machine gun barrels have LED. Dai

Some have the LED in the turret not through a piece of acrylic fiber optic rod.

I think these fiber optic rods when painted black will serve well. I will have to measure to see what the diameter is. These are available from 0.5mm to 2mm in diameter. Dai
