  • MOTION RC WARRANTY CONCERN ON MY TONGDE M60A3

    Hi all,

On September 18th I placed an order through Motion RC for the M60A3 and was delivered on 9/23/24. Unfortunately there are few parts missing and I filed a claim with MRC. I posted the picture of the missing parts on my thread TONGDE TANKS. However MRC insisted that I did NOT buy the item through MRC and refuses to honor the part replacement. I provided MRC with my name, my address, my phone numbers as well as the email that I used to order the tank to no avail. MRC insists I did not buy the A3 through them. They did sent the replacement parts but they were for the ERA. I informed them of the error but they still insist that I only bought the ERA and NOT the A3! I actually bought both. I got so frustrated that I went ahead and looked for the parts to buy out of my pocket. I chat with Ed through customer service and was provided with the order #. I sent that to the person refusing to honor the warranty. I will let you know what will become of this. I just do not understand how with today's technology that MRC cannot locate my order??? Dai

Now that is bizarre. Do you still have your email order confirmation? A screen show of that sent to them should resolve it I would think.
good luck. Even bug companies sometimes have problems.
RC tank parts and accessories I make

I looked through the trash and I did found the order details. I will forward to that person if my order # is still no go. Here is the details. I need the parts so I can install the search light I bought from Rich. Dai

For many years, I logon to
At Motion RC we carry the largest selection of electric and gas powered radio control (RC) planes, boats, buggies, cars, helicopters, tanks, trucks, and much more. We also offer a huge selection of lipo batteries, chargers, ESCs, gas engines, motors, radios, and servos. Shop our lowest prices with free shipping.

to order tanks and related parts.

The last time I have question on their product listing, I was redirected to an Australian company with address:

who insisted that I do not have an account and denied my access.

        Whom are you dealing with?

I have been dealing with the warranty department. Maybe it is not in the US and that is why they could not locate my order? It is so frustrating they keep saying I did not buy from MRC so they will not honor the part replacement! Dai

How do you communicate with this "warranty department"? By phone, by email or using a website? Or by USPS mail?

I am seriously considering the purchase of the Professional version Tongde Centurion Mk5 from them and would really like to hear your experience dealing with their support department.

I filled out the claim form. Then MRC told me I did NOT buy the A3 from them and thus will not honor the part replacement. I sent them my name, address, email associated with the order and I was told I did NOT order from them. I contacted MRC chat this morning and was provided with the order #. I sent that to the person denying warranty this morning. Let see what his response will be. Too much hassle I will just give up and buy the parts on my own. How on earth MRC could not find my order for the A3??? If MRC denies the warranty then I would do business elsewhere like Toucan. I have gotten excellent service from TH with replacement parts with a blink of an eye! Dai

How did you fill out the claim form? Is it a paper form that you sent in by mail?

Or did you sign-in to an internet address and filled out the form online? If so, what internet address did you use?

Did you receive an email that confirm your M60A3 order from MotionRC? If you use Paypal or a credit card for payment, you have more leverage to claim warranty service. If MotionRC insist that you did not order from them, you can legitimately cancel the payment. Good luck with MotionRC.

I filled out the form through internet. MRC finally accepted the fact that I ordered from them. However they could only offer store credit as the parts are out of stock. So I am SOL for now. Dai

I had to file a claim on my Merkava as I am missing a part. MRC does not have the spare plastic part so I went ahead on EB and ordered the set (you cannot buy parts seperately). I suggest MRC to reimburse me for the cost but was given a very cold reception. I am NOT demanding, just a suggestion. I am willing to show the proof of my EB purchase. I am rather dissapointed to put it mildly in their handling of the claim. I advise them to tell HL to send me a missing part and to close out the ticket if they want. I can take a loss but I feel the warranty is not honnored. I believe the customer should get a product without part(s) missing and that is what 30 day warranty is for. As such NOT impressed with MRC warranty coverage. Dai

That does not sound right. The new item warranty should have been covered by Heng Long's or its US distributor. MotionRC should ask you for a parts number, description or a picture from the manual and pass it for Heng Long's or its US distributor to handle. If not, MotionRC has no customer service and does not deserve our support.

Yes, there is Heng Long seller who does exactly that. I had a video conference with someone in Shenzhen and received the necessary part from them shortly after. I must admit that it MAY BE HISTORY.

The name "Alpha" at MotionRC and "TH (Locas)" at Toucan Hobby may wake up some memory.

I already scratch built the part on my own (and bought a new set of plastic part for this part). I told MRC to tell HL to send me the part and to close out the ticket if they like. It is a small part but it is a matter of principle. Dai

I can tell you the manager at Toucan Hobby Godfrey is VERY client oriented. I had issues with my T72 hull (cracked) and he sent me a new hull asap free of charge with all the electronics. VERY IMPRESSED with his service. Dai

A small part that I was able to scratch build. But again I should be entittled to a product without having to do this. To be fair I advise MRC to pass my information to HL and close out the ticket. Dai
