  • Hooben Cromwell

Got an email from Hooben this morning telling me the Cromwell is " in stock and ready to ship".
I would love to have one but I'm skeptical. 🤔

You are right to be skeptical. Hooben has a well deserved reputation for poor over material quality and nearly non existent after sale CS.

Hooben tanks are good look models yes, but they are largely only suitable for indoor running on hard surfaces. Outdoors don't expect them to be HL durable by any means.

Yes! It is nice as an indoor tank. Here is mine...

Decided to take out the Hooben board and install the HL board with the LegoDEI so to battle like the rest of the members in the our club.

Your Cromwell is looking good! Too bad about Hooben’s rep as they are the only source for a T55…

To be fair, I need to differentiate that the T-55 is a proper injection-molded model, though not without its faults, as compared to the later offerings which appear to be mainly 3D printed. I own one of the first-run T-55 and it is one of my favourite tanks to run though I run it sparingly due to concerns about parts support due to Hooben's reputation.
