  • Looking for places to sell my RC Tanks

I've tried selling my Heng Long M1A2 here, but I haven't gotten anything. Anyone know some other sites I can post it on?

The market for used HL tanks regardless of options or custom work done is rather small because new HL tanks can be had reasonably cheap these days. HL tanks will not bring even close to what you paid for it. So pricing it accordingly might have been your issues.

I did $135. What should I price it?

You did not receive any offer because your selling price is higher than a new HL Abrams RC tank. Google on the new RC tank price and offer yours shipped at half of that. It may go after some time.

New HL RC tank is so cheap with free shipping this days. Selling a used one is not going to be easy. And your shipping cost will be high.

I presume that you are selling the plastic basic version of the Abrams. Here is the going price from Toucan Hobby as shipped from US:
Warning:HengLong RC tank is hobby grade but not toy grade, we expect our buyer is capable of learning how to maintain this tank, coz the tank parts will wear and get glitches in running. Lacking manipulative ability will reduce your enjoyment of playing the tank. Only suitable for players with manipulative ability, Not

You may be able to fetch a better price at e-bay, but it is more than likely to be offset by the selling fee that ebay charges.

You can try Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, but be prepared to deal with all the..."I know you want $135, but will you take $10?" nonsense.

Heng Long did a very good job driving down the price of 1/16 scale RTR tank. When a new plastic HL Abrams goes for $124, it is hard to sell a used one at $135.

Even with "high end" tanks like Tamiya, people can get only around half of what they originally paid depending on model and how old it is.

If you advertise on an rc tank site like this you need to list which version it is and what it is equipped with. Post pictures and if you can find the same one for sale on this site or toucan link to it.

Please edit your for sale ad with more information (what version exactly and if shipping is included or not. Shipping costs could easily break the deal) and some more pictures (side and bottom shots).
