I’m new to the rc tank world ,I’ve got a heng long Panther G that I am working on I upgraded to a recoiling barrel as a drop ,in the recoil function worked for a couple of local battles but suddenly quit the guys I battle with are strictly stockers so the info source is zero since my system is the 7.0 I’ve heard that I need to update to the 7.1 for barrel recoil if someone can shed some light on my slightly dim brain I would much appreciate it.

You have had the barrel recoil working with TK7.0 before. You are using the trigger motor for the recoil and do not need to update to the 7.1. Check the CN6 connection and the soldering to the trigger motor.

You must turn off the Tank Body Recoil. (Tk7.0/7.1 manual, Step 16)

Thanks I had turned the hull recoil feature off and no change , and lo and behold I found a very poor solder job on the trigger motor resoldered it and all works fine .l guess I had not thought to examine the motor area itself my own fault .Thanks again for a brain kick start.

A question to the San Diego club ? I winter in S.D for Jan. & Feb and I know the enteral location of your events do you have anything plans for those months ? I’m seriously considering bringing my tank along.

Yes we do. We typically battle every month there. As long as it doesn’t rain out a few days before.
LA tanks also battles every month and is only 2hr from San Diego.
