  • Heng long circuit board TK01?

Was recently given an old snow leopard pershing tank in excellent physical condition(the age of this thing is anyones guess!)....It didn't take long to figure out that it's circuit board is fried. The number on the old board is #TK01 and is the old 27mhz system. I have looked everywhere to try and find an original board to change out in this tank, but exhausted all resources trying to locate one. I know there are endless other options out there in retrofitting a more modern 2.4 ghz receiver into this but i really don't want to get into all of that, plus i really really don't want to buy another transmitter as well. I also don't really care about having options like smoke, sounds, etc. Has anyone else ever owned one of these older heng longs with the #TK01 board? and does anyone have any idea where to find this particular board? Otherwise, this nice old tank will sadly be relegated to my parts scrap pile. Would appreciate any insight anyone can offer

Even if you can find a 01 board the tank tank will drive horribly. Nothing even close to the current 7.0 system. Honestly you would be better served just buying a completely new transmitter and 7.0 system. Also the old plastic transmissions of that time were really bad and you can expect it to blow rather quickly. The new plastic ones are not much better so best to upgrade to the metal transmissions.

Sound like a lot of work but actually it is not and relatively straightforward.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like it would cost the same(or less) just to scrap this old tank and buy a new one that is already updated with the newer system and parts. Thats likely what i will end up doing
