Hi, Merry Christmas. New to the forum, but not to modeling/building, r/c's. Didn't/don't want to be one of those people that only jump on a forum with an issue, then
bail, after the help. Unfortunately, at 64 years old, im still working, that leaves little time for my many hobbies,
or spending much of it on the web, so if I am lucky enough to receive some help, it would be most appreciated.
My wife got me me the new 1:30 HL Sherman, it intrigued me as it is proportional control. Charged it up, connected the battery, and was quite impressed with the stimulated sounds. However, i noticed it was slow to turn left as though something was slipping. I pulled the tracks, the drive sprocket could easily be pulled from the inner plastic drive gear, so I made the command decision to superglue it back together, Then noticed the other side was "loose" as well, so, it got the same treatment ! Well, surprise it sure goes forward and reverse fine, but will not turn...duh,
No excuse, but it was late last night, even so, I should have realized it was a slipper system, or whatever it is called.
I was able to de-glue one side's drive sprocket to the inner sprocket) with acetone, but apparently i also inadvertently glued it to the axle ! Any advice/axle options/ suggestions from the pros, I would be grateful....
haven't shared this "dandy" with the wife...
Thanks all !
