  • Help with a Clark TK50 board.

Asking for help from the Clark TK50 experts on here. I was trying to turn off the hull recoil, and followed the Clark instructions, which turned off the hull recoil, but it also turned off the main gun sound, and barrel recoil. I have tried various combinations in the Clark instructions, to no avail. What button on the programmer do I need to turn back on the sound, and barrel recoil for the main gun. All the other sound and functions work. This is the programmer I have. Sorry for the questions, but I am still learning my way around this board.

So you used the "jump" button to shut of the recoil and it killed the sound and recoil barrel? Sounds stupid, but it is possible you put the servo lead on the board backwards. Negative wire to the outside of the board is the correct position. Does the barrel recoil? If it does and the servo is installed correctly then it is possible you need to get to page 2 by hitting the "-/--" key twice. Then hit the "power" button once. This enables barrel recoil. HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART. Clark boards need to have the buttons cycled thru the whole menu. Meaning don't just push the button and stop on the required flash. Go thru all the flash options first then stop on the one you need last. This seems to help it save. Sometimes just getting the one flash and then powering down doesn't save the setting, Cycling seems to save it. Hope this helps

Yeah, that's how Clark boards are programmed.

Thank you for your help. I sorted it. Needed to use Servo Recoil only mode. Page 1, then press “POWER” button 6 times.

Interesting, I have always left it as Tamiya mode upper hull even though not using a tamiya recoil mechanism. Glad it worked out.

Anyone knows if there are additional plugs for lights from the Clark's board beside the MG, the front head light, the IR receiver and the flash feature in the barrel upon firing. Thank you!
