  • M4 elevation

I recently purchased a HL M4 Sherman Pro version. I am enjoying getting used to driving it and controlling the turret. I removed the tracks, idlers, and sprockets and painted them with Testors Camo Dark Green spray. Does anyone have advice on increasing the elevation for the main gun? I think that in real life the 105mm howitzer would be able to elevate more than the model does..

In the HL M4 elevation is physically limited by the internal mantlet, elevation system and turret structure. To increase up or down you will have to do some surgery on the plastic parts. You will also need to add a longer "lifting arm" to the elevation system.

It will take you some trial and error, but increasing gun movement is very doable.
