L.A. Tank Club is debuting their new desert village at this Saturdays event (June 14th 2025). This is a photo of only 12 of the 15 new prop buildings. They will be spaced a bit further apart on the spectator side of the field. The M551 Sheridan in photo is for scale. It's about the same size as a Panzer or Sherman.

I like the desert village idea because they are smaller than traditional European houses. The Normandy style houses I'm building are quite large in comparison and harder to transport.

We tend to focus on battles leaning toward the Cold War era given the number of members that bring Abrams, Merkavas and such, not to mentioning here is SoCal it almost always dry and never really a wet European green so the desert theme should work well.

Its also only one section of the field as we usual have three or four theme areas at the same time. Our next project is going to be 3D printed industrial complex, but that will not be ready until closer to the end of fall.

Fortunately we have a storage unit on site to keep everything in so we only have to transport it once.
