You need to provide a link to the Leclera at MotionRC.com.Originally posted by Evan D View PostLooks like Motion is $20 cheaper and has the metal gearbox.
The KUNKUN US store at Amazon has the plastic version Leclerc only. It is $25 cheaper than the MotionRC plastic version and $200 cheaper than the MotionRC metal version, They have changed their name to "Ssccgym Store".

You cannot compare apples to oranges. $269 is for a metal version. The $249 at Motion is for a plastic version with plastic gearbox and plastic track.Originally posted by Evan D View PostI need to? He said he paid $269 and it’s $249 at Motion. Do the math.
His link was the basic plastic one.
Nontheless, you cannot buy the metal version for $269 from KUNKUN US store anymore.
The MotionRC current price is the post tariff price as of today.

I think Motion has the wrong price for the metal version shown? It would be about correct for the NATO camouflage metal version with painted wheel, but for the basic plain green metal with unpainted wheels it is a bit high. Even with tariffs added it should be right around $380.
For the difference in price between the metal and plastic versions I would recommend buying the plastic version then buying the metal gearboxes (same ones used in the M60) separately and adding bearing to the wheels. This would only add ~$100 to the tanks cost, but still be $80 less than the metal version.
Once you add bearing to the plastic wheels there is no performance difference between them and the metal wheels. Remember TD plastic wheels come with rubber tires so they are not like HLs all plastic wheels. In fact they are even better than Tamiya plastic wheels and that is saying something.
Tracks being plastic is also not a big deal as TD tracks have historically been pretty good and superior in durability to HL tracks, yet about on par with Tamiya nylon tracks.
On this one I because of the huge price difference I think the all plastic one is what I am going to order. I already have a spare set of TD metal gearboxes and enough bearings laying around to do all the mods.

Yes, $15 cheaper I would have waited for Motion to stock them but when I asked them a few months ago if they planned on carrying them in the future they wouldn’t give me any answers so I didn’t want to wait and see if the tariff situation would cause a drastic increase in price.Originally posted by Evan D View PostI apologize, I thought I read $269 and that the one on Motions had metal gearbox’s.
so $15 cheaper at Motion.
