  • Tamiya 1/16 tracks for sale

It is considered the best track option for the Heng Long Leopard2A6 and the Challenger2. Run good on the HL Abrams too, but appearance is slightly off.

I have upgraded the Leopard to a Torro all metal lower chassis. The Tamiya tracks work really well with the Torro chassis too.

I grabbed 2 of the Tamiya Leo tracks before Tamiya discontinued them. I am working on an Abrams currently and realize that the Abrams track looks a little different. I am selling the second pair of Leo tracks.

The tracks I offered for sale is preowned and used. It ran less than 10 hours on grass lawn and basement. Feel free to make me an offer if you are interested.

A practically new Tamiya track for Leo2A6 or Challenger2 at 40% off new price. Known as the best quality track for Heng Long RC tank and very difficult to find on the market.

Do they come with any extra links or pins?

I'm interested as I'll be building a Leo in the near future and know about these tracks and lack of availability. It will be for a Taigen so exactly what I'd want. What were these priced new? I'd make a fair offer. My Ebay handle is 1MrChef or something close to that.

No, the Tamiya Leo2A6 tracks do not come with extra link or pin. The Leo track is one link longer than the Abrams track and work perfectly on the Heng Long Leopard 2A6. The link below is the track at the Tamiya retail store, but they had been out of stock for 2 years. If interested, feel free to make me an offer. It may not ever come this cheap again.

Your link doesn't show the Leo tracks. But that's not a big deal I still see them for sale on other sites. I saw them listed at Danville during the last sales before they closed for like $90+or-. Are you selling them with the sprockets? If so which brand are the sprockets and which brand tank do they fit? Are the sprockets with the newer guidehorn guides?

No, no sprocket is included in the listing. Both the HengLong sprocket, the Taigen/Torro and the Mato will be compatible with the Tamiya tracks.

Before the track went out of stock, Tamiyausa.com listed a pair at $48. The MSRP is $133 and the track can still be found at some Hong Kong retail Hobby shop for about $200 on ebay. Since Hong Kong Postal Service bans shipping to US due to the trade war, shipping by DHL is prohibitively expensive.

If you need the track now, you are unlikely to find a better deal than mine. I am not making any money of the sale. If you can wait after the DJT trade war, you probably can buy a brand new Tamiya or DKLM track set for about $100 to $140. Don't get a track of unknown quality. If in doubt, I always ask for Rubicon99 opinion.

I have been hoping to use this Tamiya track for the HL Abrams project until it was pointed out to me that the Abrams track is different. I purchased an used Tamiya track for Abrams. I offer the Leo track for fellow tanker who may need it for a cheap price. If no taker, the track goes back to my inventory.

I listed an almost new top brand Tamiya hybrid (steel with rubber pad) RC tank track at less than half of current market price. It has not taker after 10 days. I raised the price and allow buyer to make offer. I will cancel the listing and put it back to my workbench inventory at month's end.

                    1. Current market price would apply to a brand new item.
                    2. What you think it's worth is just that.
                    3. Raising the price is counter-intuitive to promote a sale.
                    4. If you're trying to do someone a favor in the RC hobby maybe offer a better or lower price.
                    5. Sounds like you want to move them but want to make your money back or more. Not how this hobby works in my experience.

This is like people listing a used Taigen tank for sale at $500. You might find someone who just needs it, but being that this is a pretty niche hobby that's few and far between and the people who would want the item are likely semi experienced RC tankers already and see an inflated price and will pass and wait for something better. Not saying your price is overly inflated but it's not a great deal either. You raised them from $85 to $105?

Axels Modelbau is selling the same tracks. Yes the price is $120. but they are available brand new and even listed as replacements for the new Tamiya 2A7 not just the 2A6. So they may be ramping up replacements in the future that will be the same or better at likely a lower price than the tight market supply now.

I'm still interested but I don't need them. Absolutely not at $105. And I haven't made an offer again because I don't need them. If you pull em down I'd understand. Don't be insulted but I wouldn't offer more than $50.

Another note, I think Hobby Squawk Forum has a Classifieds "For Sale or Trade" section. My input is that seller should post in that sector.

A brand new Tamiya RC track set at $120 shipped to your door is an excellent price. Wait till you actually need it to order. I can only find new Tamiya RC tracks from Model shops in Hong Kong and they all want $200 shipped to US. It is good that Axels Modelbau can do it so much cheaper. My offer of $85 shipped for the Tamiya Leo track is the best price in the last few years anywhere.

I just paid over $100 for a set of used Tamiya track for Abrams. Tamiya track commands higher price for their quality and realism. If you ever tried a Tamiya track on a 1/16 RC tank, you will be hooked like I am.

If you see any 1/16 scale Tamiya track for $50, please, forward the offer at this forum. I will likely buy it for my spare inventory.

Yes, I list the Tamiya track for sale there before I moved it to ebay. I mentioned the listing here because I offered the best price in many years and thought that some of our fellow member may want it. I consider my Tamiya track offer a service to member of this forum.

Out of curiosity, I went to the Axels Modelbau website to find out how they can sell Tamiya parts so inexpensively. But they ship to US by DHL so the shipped total is only slightly cheaper than the Hong Kong shops. That should make my asking price for the Tamiya track very attractive to those who appreciate the Tamiya quality. There are other brand of cast metal alloy RC tank track at lower price than used Tamiya track on ebay and Aliexpress.

I looked and your price is decent for new tracks but slight used they are a little high, but you did say you raised the price so people could make an offer. Plus you are offering free shipping that also a huge savings for people.

Honestly they look great almost new and I would jump at them myself if I didn't have a few pairs still sitting in my parts bins.

It is a great endorsement from a senior member I greatly respect.

I blame you for getting me hooked on Tamiya tracks. I can't go back to cheaper metal track with single pin and hollow back design anymore. I still have 4 Heng Long on Mato metal alloy tracks and always itch to get the Tamiya for them.

I forget to mention that Axels Modelbau do not ship to the US either, but do not mention any EU postal service ban. If they add DHL shipping and tariffs, the total cost will be in the $200 range just like the Model Shop in Hong Kong selling on ebay.

DKLMRC.com used to be my favorite source of high quality metal parts for RC tank. They pause selling to US due to the Hong Kong postal service ban to US. There were too many package reject when US buyer realize that they are required to pay the Donald Trump tariff to US customer or USPS. The US customer have no mechanism to collect tariff from the seller in foreign countries.

If you prefer a brand new Tamiya track set for the Leopard2, I just saw this listed on ebay: It is the same Tamiya parts number as my used track set for sale.

Actual it's not Tamiya brand of tracks. It's aftermarket metal track that fits the Tamiya Leopard 2. It is the same metal rubber padded track being sold by Toucan for the HL Leopard 2. It is absolutely not even close the the quality of the Tamiya Leopard 2 tracks you are selling.

The seller listed the product brand as Tamiya and used the Tamiya product number "MPN 56047" in their listing. It is outright lying if they are not selling a Tamiya product.

2 years ago, I purchased 2 Tamiya Leopard2 track set, using one on the HL Leo2. When I found out the Abrams track looks different, I bought a Tamiya track for Abrams. I tried to sell the second Leo track as a service for fellow member, believing I asked for a very low price. But...........

I will just keep the track if it is not sold by the end of month.
