What do you do with all your HL controllers?

So I’m accumulating so many heng long controllers (7.0) and I don’t know what to do with them. I figured maybe post them on eBay for cheap. There’s really no use for them. I kinda wish heng long would make these tanks pnp or BND.

I have 3 Heng Long TK-7.0 MFU main board in my spare box too. They are actually excellent proportional driving controller, and excellent upgrade from TK-5.3 or earlier HL, but are useless to me when I changed to servo barrel recoil.

Our club needs them. We have 30 loaner tanks for guests to play and sometimes they dropped or broke one or two controllers. We will be happy to buy a bunch from you.

I can fit 6 HL controllers in a plastic storage tub I got from Dollar General. 6 fit perfect.

I bind all my HL tanks to one controller. I go to the field with it and one spare controller, for those unforeseens.

When our club get invited to run our exhibition for the museums, festival or carnivals, we bring loaner tanks for guests to play and to promote our hobby, this is how I bring my controller to our battlefield, heheh! There were divided into 3 groups: German, USA and Soviet :-)

I have so many remotes for so many things, I made it a rule to never have any remote sitting with batteries in it. I have 4-6 AA batteries in one container I put into whatever remote I'm using.

I buy the Lithium AA batteries in bulk. You can leave them in the controllers then and they don't leak.

The only batteries that leak are Duracells.

Even so, I'm talking I have at least 50 transmitters for trucks, planes, helis, etc. It would be ridiculous to leave batteries in all of them. Especially since some don't get used in quite a while. I can't keep up with my rotation...lol

I buy the Lithium AA batteries in bulk. You can leave them in the controllers then and they don't leak.

And the Lithium AA has longer shelf life making them less wasteful. Comared to the older generation of batteries, the Lithium battery's main advantage is the much lower self discharge rate making them the more practical choice.

Rechargable AA batteries is the least wasteful. Expensive at first but pays off with time. I never went that route though. I should.

You would think that, but that's not what I found years ago when I went that route. I found them to be a waste of time and money, but I was using the older rechargeables. Like most NiCD or NiMh batteries, they lose their charge pretty quickly over time and typically take a decent amount of time to charge. I would charge them and by the time I went to use the device they would be dead or have little charge left. I haven't tried the latest generation of Lithium rechargeable batteries though. I personally wouldn't waste any time or money on NiCd or NiMh rechargeable AA batteries.
