  • King Tiger exhaust

    Hello,

I now have two Heng Long tanks, the Panzer IV, and The King Tiger. The Tiger was a Christmas present and has been used a few times since last week. There are two exhaust pipes and will smoke periodically, one at a time. I would like to see it "smoke" while sitting idle. Am I not adding enough liquid smoke, even though I do elevate it at the recommended 45 degrees. I appreciate the help.

adding too much liquid will flood it. Henglong has two types of smoke makers. The one with a fan is way better than the pump. Only add a couple of drops of fluid once in awhile. You can buy aftermarket smoke maker which are all metal. I once saw a youtube where the gentleman used the aftermarket speaker for pushing the smoke out. It worked much more realistic based on the rpm of the sound.
    Don't just fly--WREAK HAVOC!!!

Could be air bubbles in the line too. Might want to forcefully blow down the lines to clear them. Might have to use a straw or compressed air.

Dont fall into the same trap as me: not putting enough in, fearing it was flooded, and burning it up. I replaced the smoker unit and it works great. It runs out of smoke faster than I expected. I recently heard/read that 1ml per hour of operation is about right. And yes, some of the fluid can get stuck in the tube you refilled in. Lettng it sit in the 45degree orientation for several minutes helps. Also, try blocking off one or the other tube with your finger to get them synced up. Do NOT probe the tubes with the tiny funnel they provided while the unit is operating it, or the tiny funnel will melt.
