  • Transmitter modification

To make it easier to use my transmitter on my Bradley IFV and Leppard tank I modified the transmitter with a DTDP momentary contact switch wired parallel to machine gun and IR button so I could squeeze my hand to fire main gun and operate both joysticks at the same time.

I was thinking of doing the same. I used the same switch on my Taranis and Horus to replace the momentary switch. Is it obvious which wires to connect in the Heng Long transmitter? You combined the two switches?

Another Heng Long modification I've done is to fire the main cannon with one switch. I did that so I could take a photo with one hand while shooting the cannon with my other. I do this to catch the muzzle flash LED and/or the IR LED. You could also use this in outdoor battles where you don't use the machine gun anyway. You do lose the ability to shoot the machine gun. I use a spare HL transmitter and bind the tank I'm photo'ing to the "one finger shot" transmitter, then rebind it back to its original transmitter when I'm done.

Just disconnect the two wires to the machine gun button and reroute them to the main gun button, with a little extended wires. That way when you push the gun button, you are activating both circuits as if you were pushing both buttons at once.
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!
