  • Torro V3 board question.

Does anyone know why some V3 boards have this connectors and other don't. Is it some kind of ground for IR setup? I saw it in the diagram and the words were too blurry. My Torro tank does not fire at all. It stays silent when I flick the left knob upward. Everything else works just fine. I have extra V3 boards and used 1 to replace the original board. But all of my other V3 boards don't have that wire. And still it doesn't fire. Thank you!

I'm going to guess that maybe a wire in the turret has come loose or that the micro switch on the Asiatam style recoil is not working. It may be internally mechanically stuck. Use an ohm meter across the switch. It should show open when open and 0 when closed. If it doesn't then it's bad.

David, That's the ground for the recoil unit.

Ohhh that's the real way of doing it??? Lol,,,, I just tore it apart and resoldered the micro switch. Which BTW wasn't too much fun. Such a finicky little F***in thing. It works great till it doesn't.

Tell ya what David, Do what tank_me said and check it. If it's toast or ya can't get it to work by fiddling with it LMK.. I have several brand new in the box units that I'll do a deal with ya for. NOW that being said. I've also had similar frustrations with brand new units which is why I have a surplus. I've since moved on to servos.

I tried and it still is not functioning. Anton, kindly work with me on letting me have 2 of your units. By the way, MotionRC has a few in stock. Some for the King tigers, Tiger I and panzer III. For our replacing purpose on the recoil unit, they should be the same, correct?

I'll take a look and see what I have squirreled away. The units are the same it just depends on how they are mounted in the turret for what brackets may be supplied. I'll Message you over the weekend.

Got it! I will use the same bracket and just mount the recoil unit on. Thank you! However, if it is too much of the trouble, I can just order from MotionRC.

Ordered 2 Torro recoil units from MotionRC. They arrived today. Replaced them on the Panther and Jagdtiger. Both tanks fire and recoil accordingly now. Problems solved. I bought one extra just in case, heheh!
