  • gaskets for smoke units ?

I dissembled one of the smoke units on a Mato tank over the weekend to try to get it to start smoking again, and in the process misplaced the gasket that was on there...

Any ideas where to find a replacement or can I just put a bead of some type of silicone on there ? I have RTV silicone here I am debating using for this..but I think that would create a more permanent bond.

Don't know where you could get the gasket but if you go with silicone just apply a bit of heavy oil on both parts and reassemble it, just don't do the screws up fully until the silicone is dry. Should be able to disassemble it easily after that

apply silicone first and than oil? What do you mean by " heavy oil" anyway?

Oil first, I've used diff or gearbox oil,

Amazon has very thin black silicone rubber mats. I have used them for making mud flaps. You could cut a gasket out of that stuff. I've used it as gaskets on my 3D printed speakers so that the tops don't rattle.
