I've started a thread for things that don't fit anywhere else. Everyone is welcome to add in.

I found this on AliExpressUSA. Carefully and securely, I ordered a couple not knowing what I would use it for, just knowing I'd find something. Maybe a radar sweep unit?

The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

Do you have that specific "figure print door lock" in your house?

Why would you ask that? I intend to find a use for this on some tank project. Simple 5V DC motor with a gear reduction.

Good catch Bob. I can see a number of applications for this.👍👍

Like maybe a radar sweep on a fictional AA or AT missile or gatling gun M113 variant?

Here's another add-on I like; a functional searchlight to replace the stock inert one. Good on Shermans of course, but others as you see fit. I spliced mine into the headlight circuit. $10 from Toucan, maybe less elsewhere?

Just two, both installed already. I did buy some a couple of months ago, so I'm sure they'll be back in stock. You might try a DM to Toucan. With all your tanks, you'd probably instigate a second factory run!

Being lazy, I also got a plug-in wire splice, this from Amazon:

Doggone! I wondered why I couldn't find it on their site.

Has anyone seen a conversion kit to backdate the Panzer II's on the market to the E or F mark? No bustle, no extra armor on the front or mantlet?

Bob, I really like that light. I'd use it on my highly modified 1/6 21st Century M5 Stuart. I could modify the toy like light housing, or scratch build a new one. Of course I'd put one on my HL Sherman as well!!!
I'll post a few videos of my 1/6 M5 Stuart on the show your tank thread, so everyone can see it!!!

You'll need to make one yourself. Shortly after I got these, they were discontinued. None around anymore.

They're a hobby oriented manufacturer. They sell LED's with built in resistors and long thin wires. I'll bet they have spotlights, hopefully in your scale.
Thanks for the heads up, Bob!!! It seems like that happens to me all too often.

I've have the Torro M16 Hafltrack for many years; it doesn't get much use, but it looks great sitting on my bench.

A while back, Andy's Hobby Headquarters came out with a 1/16 scale M8 Greyhound. It's a wonderful and quite a detailed model kit.

Well, I bought two of them when they were on sale. One of them is being modified for RC. I'm using a six wheel drive setup I got from Aliexpress.

After I bought these kits, the M16 complete wheels were still being sold as replacement parts. By the time I decided to pay $17 dollars each, they were no longer available. I think it's because Torro decided to sell more of the M16 Halftracks.

So, I was forced to get tire/wheels for an RC truck that were very close to the correct diameter.

So, that's the way it goes!!

I long ago learned, if you see it, don't hesitate! That goes for eBay, Chinese and Japanese sellers, and of course CostCo!
