  • AAVP-7A1 RAM/RS by Tongde

....from Tongde's May25th Facebook post, for non-FB'ers. I usually post new stuff in the rumor thread, but Tongde is becoming so reliable in producing what they promise, I'd call it more than a rumor. It's set for an August release, per the post.

There is a video clip in the post showing an unpainted version sitting in a tub of water, with propulsion pushing water from the back! Tracks, propellers, jets? Can't see yet.
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

Here's a clip of it in water:

I'd have to check how waterproof it is before trying this. I certainly wouldn't run it in salt water!

It's a great looking amphibious vehicle. I don't know what it's priced at, and as you mentioned, how water tight is it??? I'm more interested in WW-II US Military Armor, and soft skinned vehicles. I'm sure the AAVP-7A1 RAM/RS will be a lot of fun, providing it stays afloat!!!

Thanks for sharing what's new, Bob.

Yep definitely on my buy list. Love the Cold War armor. It will look great next to my USMC themed M60s.

You’re gonna need a pond for it to ford.

I like this and might have to get one. Maybe I should import a case or two?

The M113s seemed to work out well.

It looks cool, but I fear it will be oversized like the Bradley since they use the same running gear. That probably won't bother most people, but if it is I think I'll stick to 3D printing one in the right scale as it is available already. It's going to be a wait and see for me at least.
