Heng Long transmitter question

If I turn on the transmitter, the red light turns on, there isn't the beep sound, and it could not bind to the tank, does that mean it is time to buy a new one? Or is there a way to fix it? Thx!

I would think if it won’t bind to any tank it has stopped transmitting its signal. You might open it up and look for an obvious failure but probably won’t find any thing. It happens sometimes.

I know it sounds dumb, but have you just tried to put fresh batteries in it and then rebind it?

Quite rare! The two I had this problem and posted here for help....were from a bundle (used tanks)purchase.

I had a weird one the other day where I had Energizer batteries in a 7.0 controller. It wouldn't turn on the tank and was flashing. Same kinda thing you saw where it didn't beep on startup. I grabbed another controller and it worked fine. So I put brand new Li-Ion AA batteries in it and it didn't even turn on. Mind you I've used these batteries in other HL controllers and Taigen ones before. I like them because you can store them in the transmitter long term without fear of them leaking. I grabbed some fresh Energizers and it was intermittently working. I played with the contacts in the controller...bent them in a little and made sure the springs were making good contact in the battery box. It started working and it's been fine ever since. I didn't go back to my Li-Ion batteries yet, but I still want to see if they work now after playing with it.

If it was two from a bundle of used tanks, maybe it was water intrusion or something. I would open them up and look for signs of water damage.

Thx! I have about 9 old 6.0 HL boards. If I put one type of 7.4 battery in, the board shut off when the tank received the IR hit. I then replaced a different battery (same brand), and it performed just fine. It happened to all nine of these old 6.0 HL boards. Sometimes, we just have to mess around with these items.
