Need Help Choosing a Mato Tank Transmitter

    Hi everyone!

I’m looking into Mato tank transmitters and control boards and would like to know more about compatibility.

Has anyone used different transmitters or boards with a Mato tank? Which setup would you recommend for reliable performance?

Hi William, Just to be clear are you wanting to replace the stock transmitter and MFU control board? I usually swap all my Tanks be it Taigen or Heng Long to either a Heng Long 7.1 transmitter/ Receiver or use a Clark TK50 with a computer programmable Transmitter. There is a steep learning curve for Clark so go with the Heng Long.

I agree with QB. I own 5 Mato tanks, and I've installed Heng Long (HL) 7.1 MFU boards in all of them. (A 7.1 MFU can be operated by both 7.0 and 7.1 HL transmitters.) The only thing you may need to do is change plugs, depending on what you start with. Just match red and black and get the plugs and/or sockets on Amazon or wherever. HL has excellent steering and is generally cheaper than any other setup,.
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!
