  • Heli Scale Quality - Hughes 269 Calypso

I just started my add-on helicopter rating (full-scale) in a Schweizer 300, so I "had" to build a scale model. I bought this kit back in December and finally getting around to building it. I got a Blade mCPX BL2 that I thought would fit this kit. Turns out, it did not. The foam between the frame and electronics is thicker than the original mCPX. I found a used one on eBay and bought it. So on with the build. I cut all the plastic pieces out and began to glue each side together. I'll assemble the helicopter once all the parts are glued and then paint after confirming everything fits. I wish these parts were 3DP, but I just saw on their website that they are starting to offer 3DP parts. So thats good. Here are some pictures during the build.

That is a huge disappointment that the BL2 did not fit. The website definitely states that it is designed for the BL2:

I have found the 3DP (three dimensional printed) landing gear. Were you suggesting that there may be other 3DP parts available in the future?

Is an update available on your build, please, and were there any instructions and if so did you find them to be useful?
