I won't do face book or tweets either and wasn't to sure about the forum either but it's good info and nice people at least on the squawk. That's good enough for me.:)

It was a great weekend of fun, flying and fellowship...we had 20 pilots and over 100 attend altogether...as I get pictures and videos I'll post them here, Steve (RCJetDude) had the new Freewing 70mm Hawk there and I can't believe how fast and agile that thing it!

Wish I could have been also Steve so that I could bust on George about his non OD colored shirt. Whuuuut.........only the Field Commander gets to wear a black TIA shirt LOL
But there is always two sides to the pancake..........not being there meant I was able to attend TwoWings event AND EVEN MORE SO get the ground work laid out for BWA:)

I have a couple black shirts on order for myself....they look really good with the colors George chose for the logo and lettering. Glad to hear about your own field development! You will need to get some BWA shirts lined up sometime in the near future.

Which OV-1 Bird Dog is that? Doesn't have the surface detail of the Black Horse version. Kit built? Landing gear isn't what I'd expect. Is it a repaint of an L-3 Grasshopper?

                      Whatever it is, it's cool.

One of our members built it from an older kit (not sure of the brand). Frank Handley is his name, he flew that livery in Vietnam and was shot up several times but always made it back, after the war he came home and shuttled cowboys and supplies all over the northwest.

In the video I'm working on you can hear him talk about why he painted the red on the wings.

                          But it's definitely not an OV-1.........Mohawk ;)
An O-1 Bird Dog yes and not a repaint of a Aeronca L-3 Grasshopper so who made that one in the pic.

Great video Steve........The O-1 begins at 16:00. I heard the pilot indicate that it was an L-19 which initially confused me but then I learned something today.
That designation was the early DOD call on them for the Army and Marine airframes from the 50's until 62 when it was re-designated to the O-1.
Since the Air Force didn't acquire these until they were O-1's as FAC aircraft and the one in the vid is sporting USAF markings the models pilot made a misnomer of what it was.

                                  Ha, you do a great job...especially the narration. I love Nathan's C-188 review :)

Maybe not the most interesting RC video but you can defiantly tell everyone is having a good time and that's the main thing.

That's what he called it when he was flying it "In Country" so the technical jargon may not have made it down the pipeline yet ;)
