While your FPV solution may work for a ground vehicle moving relatively slow in the yard, a 0.1 or 0.2 second latency means the plane has already traveled several feet before you even see it on screen. Ok for straight and level sight seeing flight. Not ok for maneuvering or landing the plane. So for just recording a flight to get used to seeing the sight picture (very smart move), that's great!. Do you know the glass to glass (from camera to screen) delay of your system?
Zero picture because device won't link. to the cell phone or the tablet.

GoFPV ap says no UVC driver. Probably will not work but plug it in and try... and it does not work.

I am no FPV expert. But I was committed to get into FPV. Instead of starting out small and upgrading as I go, I opted to find the best system I like and can afford, thinking this would save me money and headaches in the long run. I got the DJI Goggles RE Combo. It's as close to turn-key all in one solution as possible for a HD FPV system. Head tracking is also included. I like it so far and the FPV aerobatic and dogfighting experience is as close to being in the cockpit as one can get, only without feeling the G forces.

The Spitfire is really challenging on takeoffs and landings. Half the time I end up dragging a wing tip, good thing I installed wingtip skids.:Whew:

Nice change to fly the PC-21 with tricycle gear. Takeoff and landings are relaxing and worry free.

A couple of greasers on smooth runway. Such a joy to fly FPV when wind is calm. Feels like flying full scale...

I setup head-tracking FPV following KISS principle😘. No FC, (often) no gyro. Just install pan & tilt (in this case a Motionsic BadAss Gimbal) with DJI FPV and connect to corresponding receiver channels setup with head-tracker on TX and go! Here's the latest setup on a Xfly Sirius 80mm sport jet - for my son as his FPV jet trainer. He is getting hooked! Following is a video showing his first flight:

The beauty of head-track use is that it allows one to look all around the cockpit, as one would looking around intuitively when you drive. It’s second nature. And once a HT is setup on transmitter. You can implement in cars, crawlers, planes or any RC vehicle from pilot perspective

Here's another one practicing precision aerobatics from the cockpit:

Hey Turbinefancy - is there a good website or YT channel that you have found that provides easy to follow complete howto information for getting into HD FPV? (and also provides hardware recommendations?) I have purchased several analog units but frankly have not set them up yet. Like you, I figured it might be smart to go ahead and start out with some top of the line HD gear.
                Thanks for your posts!

Note that I am running FrSky/OpenTX radio gear.

DJI FPV is as turnkey as it gets for Digital HD FPV. But if you prefer to have more telemetry/on screen display flexibility and can settle for less quality visuals then HDZero may be the way to go. Me, I like to keep it simple, and just want great visuals without flight controllers and other complexity in my FPV setup. Here’s a list of items I put together for starting out:

                  DJI Digital FPV Goggles:
DJI's Digital HD FPV Goggles V2 give the ultimate HD FPV experience, optimized for low latency flying such as racing and freestyle. This new V2 version has all the latest and greatest features from DJI.

That is very helpful. Thank you!

(I'm currently diving down the iNav rabbit hole and have ordered a few Matek F765 WSE boards. This will enable me to have two cameras and switch between them in flight... Nerd!)

You are welcome . I am contemplating diving into the INAV rabbit hole, too. Would be nice to have airspeed and altitude when flying. Do share your findings.

FPV works great in any model and you don't need to spend a fortune , But if you want the best experience that's when the setup gets expensive, For models i would always use the fpv gear in conjunction with a good flight controller the EagleTree vector has always been my favourite but now they are hard to get a hold of and not compatible out the box with some fpv equipment thats brings me on to the goggles and cams, For year i always used analog video transmitters and goggles, but since the digital systems came about , now i always use the dji goggles with air units the result you get from analog to digital is night and day. But FPV is not for everyone and i understand that , i still enjoy line of sight flying but fpv is always my go to choice.

The dream that many FPV flyers shares would be to have visual quality of DJI FPV, or even higher resolution like what’s available for Mavic- 1080P together with OSD like Eagletree Vector like HUD from F-16, with airspeed and baro altitude and moving attitude ladder. The manufacturer that comes out with such a turnkey setup would dominate the fixed-wing FPV market.

A functioning F-16 HUD style OSD or actual working HUD with head-tracker and engage in FPV dogfight would be so insanely realistic, more exciting then DCS, I am sure.
