  • Can someone help me with the leveling on the Hobbyeagle A3 Super 3

I have it hooked up and when I do inputs on the radio, everything works as it should, but when I hit the self-leveling, if I bank to the left or right the elevator levels, if I pitch up or down the ailerons level. I know something is backwards, but can't figure out what it is...any ideas, thanks in advance

Check that it is mounted correctly (manual, page 7) and the correct mounting is specified in the setup (manual, page 21 or 34).

Picture of how you have it mounted?

Of all the mounting positions, the end with the pins must always point to the rear. The A3S3 uses those weird wires where on one end, there is the standard single plug with 3 wires. The other end of this cable splits off into 3 separate single wire plugs. You must disregard the color of those single wires. ALL of them are "signal" wires and therefore must be plugged into the RX in their signal pin. Can you confirm that this is the case? Or have you inverted one or more of these plugs? Additionally, do you have the AIL plug and ELE plug in each others port?
Pay particular attention to the "A-E-R" port on the gyro and where it leads to in the RX.

I've installed mine all pointed forward or aft but make sure the directions are right.

Maybe, but unless you have set up the firmware to KNOW which position you mounted it, you can get symptoms like those that you reported. Did you set it up with a PC or with the program card?

I guess he figured it out and it was something silly that he didn't want to share with us.
