A mind is a terrible thing to waste. As many of your know I like to rivet my planes. So, I have been named Papa Boozer/Dots. My FlightLine Corsair dropped from its perch and dented both wings. I have always wanted to play around with light aluminum for patching. If a real warbird got damaged the ground crew would repair with scrap aluminum. this could be as small as a bullet hole or as large as complete panel. My thoughts was that aluminum foil was too lite, so I us a cooking pan. This thickness was perfect for using an awl for rivets. You can see in the pictures attached of the outcome. I am not completely satisfied, but will keep refining process. I may need to recess the aluminum into the foam, remember this is to repair a dent, ding or hole. Commonly know as hanger rash. Maybe someone has done this before, would like to see your efforts.
