Super collection, and photos, too! The matte spray really does wonders. It appears that all of your Black Horse models are electric?

I was elated to hear that Motion RC would be handling Black Horse model products. I've been a Black Horse fan for several years and currently have two BH models in my hangar. I've been very pleased with the quality of BH ARFs, with the only problem being that they have been very difficult to find in the US. I note that the current Motion RC offerings from BH are of their larger series. I hope you will be carrying some of the .60-.90 size ships also. I've had the Chipmunk, the P-47, the T-28, and the Mustang in that size and hope to acquire several more from that series. Thanks for for taking the plunge and bringing some fine models to US modelers!

Hey, if you click on the Admiral motor as it is described on the model listings you'll be able to go to the page with the details on the motors. They are on there way, we hope to have them in stock by mid June. The range is designed to compliment this new range of BH balsa models, and we've tried to match the motor to the character of the model its intended for. You'll not be prop hanging on the motor/lipo set-up we've spec'd for the Ryan for example (Admiral GP20 on 8S) but you will have power enough for good sports flying (over 100watts / lb).
Hope this helps.

BF-110 struts are measured at 4mm diameterOriginally posted by tengarang View Post
Hey Stuart,
I just had a thought, and its a coincidence you happen to be at the right place at the right time.
What isnt available and hard to come across the freewing 1400mm mossie struts, i might have some long over due Durafly BF-110 struts left over. If my memory serves me correct they are also 5mm struts which would then fit in to the RM400-90 retract unit as well....
with some cosmetic work on these struts, it may work? concerns feedback would be appreciated.

Hey Stuart,Originally posted by Stuart.MotionRC View PostHey, just got up here in Europe and checking back through the threads. teng the strut included with the He-111 is a standard oleo strut, which is still nice to have. I'm sure someone could get a FW strut to fit, that would be nice to see but would require further cutting of the gear doors (covers, they are not actually doors on the BH HE-111). The RM400-90 retracts are intended to be used with this model and the PC-9, so should fit right in.
Attached are drawings of the included strut from the manual that is on our site.

The updated and refined Black Horse line look much better than what was offered in the late 90s. They were good for their day, but were heavy and some of the wood and adhesives needed improvement.
I'm looking foward to adding Black Horse to the stable againLOL:).

Always good to hear people willing and able to go all out with these additional considerations. There is a limit to what we can do to within the scope of a project but of course as customers and modellers is always more we can do and that’s part and parcel of the hobby for me.
Glad to hear people already thinking creatively, I’ve already started to think myself how I’d like to mod the Tubro Beaver once I have the gas build out covered for media, it’s an infectious process ????

Hi Stuart. I just think part of the good looks of the OV-10 are the way the original struts look. I'll probably try to mod your struts to look like the picture. If not I can just fab some new struts if needed.Originally posted by Stuart.MotionRC View PostHi guys, yes we do plan to expand the Xwave retract range as we roll forwards and to meet the demands/requirements of the models as they come. This could include a nose unit if required for a model for example, but actually the Bronco uses 3 x main units, with a simple free turning strut that is supplied with the bronco nose strut able to be used in a ‘main’ unit. This is why we sell the RM400-90 as an individual unit.
i can see the Do-335 get quite a bit of chatter about it, so logic would dictate we may well see in as soon as we can get it.... we’ll see, but again, please keep the suggestions coming, happy you guys are digging the range.

I'm really glad to see this line made available to us. I am most certainly going to indulge some.
