All of our CS team has flown balsa and liquid fuels for years, in fact we all flew balsa before we flew foam. I suspect there are many of our customer family who are the same.

This is going to be fun :)

Double check what they use for spars...

I have a Black Horse 50cc size Corsair. They used 3 layers of lite ply for the main wing spars. Absolutely inadequate with the big cutout in them for the retracts.

And the retracts are made of a soft aluminum that has the L extrusions as the weakest part. The ball links were very sloppy fit for the 90 deg rotation, causing them to pop free during takeoff so you end up landing with the wheels pointed sideways.

If their quality hasn't improved you'll get a lot of returns.
FF gliders and rubber power since 1966, CL 1970-1990, RC since 1975.

current planes from 1/2 oz to 22 lbs

fhhuber thanks for the feedback, but we are not currently carrying the Corsair, though I'll definitely keep your observations in mind when it comes to looking at it. Regarding retracts, the two models we currently carry do not come supplied with BH retracts, and we have our new Xwave retracts coming into stock very soon for the He-111 and the PC-9. These are high quality all metal units that you should see years of stress free service from.

Black Horse were some of the best ARFs in thier day. I would certainly suspect that Alpha has been heavily involved with upgrades/updates to the Black Horse productline BEFORE they would be offered by Motion RC.

Being primarily a balsa and giant scale flyer, I'm excited to see this developement. There are likely to several models coming that many of us have been waiting for i.e. the OV-10, He-111 and likely, the Do-335! Looking forward to getting my hands on several.

Way to take things to another level MRC Team.:)

For those of you that are lucky enough to either be at Joe Nall 2019 already or are planning to get their, James has the Beautiful Fairchild 24 down there right now and HUGE thanks to him for these shots hot off the press from yesterdays flight. For those of you like me that could not make it, he'll be putting out live media for the rest of the show and will follow up with HD flight reviews etc of the model in the coming weeks and also posting in HS once he's had chance to catch his breath after JN.So for now, enjoy these great shots and keep an eye on our social channels for more media and coverage on BlackHorse at MotionRC. HAPPY BALSA DAY :)

Indeed Alpha has, and I did mention as much in the video, but it got cut out as no picture of Alpha is know to exist, so we could show him in the staff line up;) But seriously, this is something that both Alpha and I have been working very hard on for longer than we'd care to remember. Alpha started off the process a LONG time again, even before my arrival and has since passed it onto me and I've been running with it for the some time myself now. Again, just massively relieved and very excited to finally be able to bring all our hard work and effort into the public domain. We can't wait to see what you all think.

While I am trying to make room in the hangar, I am happy to see this. Nice selection to introduce the line.
                        Good job, Stuart!

It's an important point to emphasize that while our initial selection online of Black Horse models is generally somewhat limited, our exclusive distribution of Black Horse in North America does allow us access to the ENTIRE product line of their products. So, if there's an existing Black Horse model you want that isn't on our product pages, such as the Do-335 as mentioned above, please post here or contact our CS Team to designate what you want and we'll add it among our upcoming shipments.

I've flown most of their aircraft at the factory and I have my favorites.

That's right, its power to the people folks, we're listening so be sure to follow Alpha's advice and let us know what other models from the range you’d like to see in the US.

I'm not a wagering man but I would rhetorically bet that putting the Do-335 in the BlackHorse line up would be an absolute win for MRC if it has the Alpha touch for electric power battery access.;)

I'm loving this new class of aircraft to our customers! There's really a nice selection to start...Man I am eyeballin' that Fairchild something fierce! She's a beauty! My recommendations is of course more warbirds...I would add the Stuka and I really want to say the Corsair but it doesn't look scale enough to interest me yet (looks just sport scale. I really like that Hangar 9 F4U-1D Corsair 60cc , she's a beauty). Love the size but now if it had the Alpha/FlightLine Corsair treatment? Shut up and take my money now!!

The composit EDFs look good as well esp. the L-39s, Typhoon and MIG-29. Several other offerings like the Albacore, Provost, Monson, and He-112B are rarely seen models. Lots of goodies to choose from:)

The He-111 and Do-335 are first on the must have list so far.
