The rain stopped for 3 milliseconds so I squeezed a couple flights in of my FW 90mm F-18 Blue Angel. Lost my left aileron control as I was coming in for a landing. How I made it back I have no idea. Lucky day!

At 2:25 I hit my flaperons and she rolls extremely to the left. Upon inspection after landing my left aileron was not working.

Nice save! I drove to the field this morning, and managed to slam my right thumb pretty bad while opening the gate. Go figure, the one finger I really need for flying..

I pretty much stayed in my basement today working on integrating my A-10 powder canon with the Shockwave2 sound system. So far me likey. I am impressed with the way the SW2 functions. Well thought out and very detailed instructions. It sounds awesome.

Yup! The Bear is a blast on 6S. I torqued mine on an aborted landing attempt Wednesday... broke a prop... ooohhh. I wish they had not discontinued them.

Thanks, I got really lucky this time. Came in too hot and had to crank right to avoid running out of real estate and had to pretty much guess when as I was at the opposite end of the parking lot. Like leaving the casino with house money.

                  LOL

After many weeks of bad weather and business travel (out of the country), I finally got to fly a few planes today. FlightLine P-38 (3 times), Multiplex Pilatus Porter (3 times), FMS 1400mm A6M (once), UMX A-10 (twice), Durafly (I think) Bf-109F (1/4 flight). I finally got a camera mounted on the nose of the P-38 (just in front of the canopy). The camera is mounted on velcro with a velcro over-strap; so, the camera moves around a bit, for an interesting effect under g loads. I'm not especially proud of the landing, but I didn't break anything. LOL

Oh, the story on the 1/4 flight of the Bf-109...
The 109 was a swap meet find this past Saturday ($25). The rudder and elevator were warped pretty badly. I thought that once I got it off the ground, I could trim it in flight. Well, as soon as the gear left the ground, it banked hard left, catching the left wing tip, for an impressive somersault, breaking the wing. It's reparable. I'll also fix the fail feathers before attempting the next flight.

Thanks, Aros. It wasn't a bad landing, but I should have been a bit slower and flared a bit more. Had a small hop on the landing that I usually don't have. Just didn't quite meet my own expectations, for flying on such a low wind day.

Yeah I know what you mean. I couldn't get any greasers with mine last week...Was driving me crazy. Little bounces on the pavement. I really need to set up F modes for takeoffs, normal flight, aerobatic and landing.

We have a geo-textile runway with good ole crab grass underneath it. It essentially acts like a trampoline most days, lol

You're doing well though, only 109 to go. ;)

looks like a great day for flying today over here. Blue skies, and unbelievably, no wind. Batts charged and ready for the f16, fms zero, EF extra and EF edge. Should be a great day. (Really love my flying, puts a smile on my face all day, today should be a cracker and perfect for practicing those crankshafts). Can't wait.
