Been flying in the tail drag for a while and wanted to change up , went to tricycle . I'm having a constant issue with the nose on landings . I know some are a little rougher than others but no matter how soft the nose keeps coming apart or twisting . I've tightened and adjusted but nothing helps . Anyone else have issue or advice ?

Re: Pandora landing gear
I had the same issue when trying to fly off of a soccer field that had broken grass/divets everywhere. The nose gear just isn't going to work unless you have very smooth grass. Even a metal gear servo will not survive.
Now that I am flying on a better field (steamrolled at least once a season and cut regularly) with a club I am about to switch back to tricycle gear and will get back to you.

Re: Pandora landing gear
I've been flying my Pandora for 7 weeks now, and I fly almost everyday. I had seen a few postings with same issues as you. And what I've done, is taken the easy way out, only flying as a tail dragger...This may not be much help to you. But it's worked for me!Lon

Re: Pandora landing gear
Hey Bassplayer hope all is good and nothing terminal !!! I reinforced the top and bottom of the plastic on the nose with balsa and epoxy . So far so good , just have to try and give it a soft landing. I do wish it had a compression strut on the nose would have made a world of difference . GLAD YOUR BACK !!!!But Crashing is Landing

RE: Pandora landing gear
The 4" foam wheels on my tail dragger landing gear did not always rotate as freely as I would like. They would bind a little where the axle is bent. There is not enough axle length to put a wheel collar on both sides of the wheel to help it spin freely.
My fix was to tie a thick piece of string twice around the axle, and add 2 small washers to make a little wheel collar. I put some clear nail polish on the string to hold it in place.
Now the wheels spin perfectly.
Landing is mandatory!

RE: Pandora landing gear
Hey ServiceRep, welcome to the forum!
Good idea, I got tired of chewing the foam tires up and went 3" Dave Browns on both my Pandoras.
They're great!
I also got tired of replacing landing gear so I took the screws out of the small plates that lock the LG onto the fuse and Epoxy/resined them into place, I also wrapped the pants with color matched electrical tape. Works great for extra strength!

RE: Pandora landing gear
You can install the dubro 1/2A nose gear. I used it on my V1 skytrainer 182 never had any issues with it.
