Well there are certainly fighters that are crewed by female pilots. A couple years ago I remember a news article of an all female crew on big AF plane, might have been a B52 bomber (big plane!) or maybe a big jet like a tanker or even a C130. Heck there might have been stories on all of them but it does happen, usually for a publicity peice as mixed crews are just the normal day to day business just like most places of work in the modern world.
I am betting there is at least one lady pilot on the service demonstration teams ((Thunderbirds and Blue Angels). That has been common for years now. You can model one of their planes. A quick google shows thunderbirds lead solo #5 is flown by Maj. Michelle Curran. There are nice Eflite F16 T bird falcons.
Are you ready for a jet yet? I am not and I am more than six times your age but have probably six times less than your vision and reflexes. (grin)

But a fifth is a ratio of 3:2 in frequency, so maybe it's 67% scale....or 150% scale, lol. Two octaves plus a major third is a ratio of 5:1 (as any bugle player knows), but that's much harder to subtly slip into a poem. So I think you make an excellent guess here....best guess I've read in this thread.Originally posted by BluesDragon View Post

{the fifth note of a major scale}
Could be a typo.. or could refer to 1/5th scale(?).
Anyway, I guess P-51 sort of makes sense, given that they had a FMS 1700mm Corsair, and recently came out with a Flightline 1600mm Corsair. So 1600mm P-51 is slightly logical. I couldn't get super excited about that, though. The "big three" are way overdone, IMHO.

Not sure what will be released today but will be looking. Wish it would be something different. How many more F-4s, F-16 etc. The same stuff all the time that everyone else is making. I only buy from Motion but make something different for a change when you talk Edf!!! How about an English Electric Lighting?? How about a 90 mm Alpha Jet? How cool would that be with the scale gear on that???
Thanks Bob

There are two very cheasy Russian movies on Amazon about the Night Witches and a TV series. They were legendary in Russian WII history. The movies are the usual deprivation of material/love stories that you would expect, but they do shed light on the fact that they were very brave.

Stella, look up the all female Russian bomber group nick named the Nachthexens by the germans in WWII. Very brave pilots....Originally posted by Stella View PostI would like to see a war bird that only used by female pilots, if there is such a thing.

Lyrics for the Carpenters song "We've Only Just Begun"
Before the risin' sun, we fly
So many roads to choose
We'll start out walkin' and learn to run
(And yes, we've just begun)
Make me think Zero
The peat and pavement make me think something British...
No clue

My breakdown.. both mentally and tryin' to figure Alpha's query out! I'm not quite sure how "Jaws" figures into my deduction. I just think a P-40 is too obvious in this case. So this is where I ended up. Totally off base, I'm sure.. I need some sleep!Originally posted by Alpha View PostProject Jaws

Soul immortal legends past
Uhh.. yeah. I got nothin'
fast a whisper fletch and quiver
{These horses evolved into sure footed fast “ponies” which the plains Indians learned to maneuver very efficiently to fight on horseback. Their speed and agility, proved to be a most valuable asset against the U.S. Army.} Talkin' Mustangs here..
single staff superb at last
I don't know.. viagra is all that comes to mind for me here!
Revved and rent
{Fast 'n Loud tv series episode; The crew sets about restoring a 1968 Shelby Mustang}
So possibly a Mustang with four wheels this time(?)
the pavement tearing
Fits the Shelby direction... just sayin'!
grip the peat her war just won
{Horses (Mustangs) with lineage back to the Civil War, and the United States breeding program, would be bred and serve into the twentieth century up to World War II.}
OK, so maybe I'm just stuck on the Mustang lead here. The "peat" kinda throws me off as well. hmmm
They've all gone a hiding hearing
Loads of wild Mustangs running around these parts. Again, just sayin'!
Future Past
{The future of the past is also now, or the recent past, but it implies what [could have happened and didn't], like science fiction of the fifties, with flying cars and rocket packs, for example}
Ummm... yeah.. that! So something fairly recent.. like maybe the addition of RC Cars..
We've just begun
...and keep gettin' better!
Say Jaws and choose.
OK
"Jaws" and I choose a 1/5th scale Shelby Mustang! I'm goin' to bed now!

Good on ya Alpha.......mmmmmm......perhaps you’re simply trying to confuse us with all the poetry and ‘stuff’ in the middle......Jaws has gotta mean P-40!......Simple!
if not...well a man can dream
.....now back to analysing the rest....
Cheers

Probably a V-22 Ospery,a big one, tired of the small ones that are out there⁹,and make it with variable pitch props like the real one,sense I work on them,would be something different,
That would definitely be something cool
