I agree, servo tape does the job quite nicely.
I and I'm sure many others have also used hot glue at times as well.
Although I would recommend the newer "Cold" hot glue.
First wrap the servo with blue painter's tape (provides texture for 'grab'), then secure in place with a pea-sized dab of hot glue.
Makes future replacement a breeze - the tape peels away cleanly from the servo & you can get at the hot glue & remove; rubbing alcohol will dissolve it, no damage to the foam.

I use Liquid Nails Projects repair adhesive on my foamies now. It is white, paintable, can be sanded, slightly flexible, and can be easily cut for removal. It also washes up with water. It does take a little while to cure. Very strong. The Doctor
