Well said James. We all appreciate the subjects and quality that Alpha puts together for us:Cool:. I'm sure that we would rather give the design/testing team adequate time to make it right than pop out birds of lesser quality.Originally posted by MotionJB View Post
These are Alpha's babies and what he says goes. He is a bit of a perfectionist if you haven't noticed.
Either way, maybe we shouldn't say project names, but it is fun to see what the community thinks will be the next thing. We'd rather just say project names without any projected release dates so we don't get ahead of ourselves if we announce too early and then a delay happens. Let us worry about the inner workings of the business and we promise some great stuff will be coming for everyone to fly in 2018 and beyond.
Hang tight guys!

Playing with a project name is great fun! Trying to figue out the reasoning used by a "sleep deprived aerophile" to come up with those project names, gets the old noggin working:).
My wife and I enjoy old school kit builds to fill the wait time. One learns patience with those, and it is quite rewarding.

Now you've opened another can of worms for those of us who fly practically everything. Will these new helos be like the Robans I.E. real world aircraft but at a Blade size, price, and quality, Blade like(generic airframe and cockpit but different sizes), or more like the Robans, big and expensive?Originally posted by MotionJB View Post
Hey guys, can we squash these theories?
Yes, Stuart and I used to work for HK. We no longer do and that's where it stops. We are happy to be working with Motion RC and wish our old HK co-workers nothing but the best. We are excited for all the products we have coming in the future. We know we haven't had a big new release in a while as far as aircraft goes, but we have been laser-focused on getting the EU division up and running, getting out to events for the first time (2 of which got canceled on us) and building relationships in the background that will help us grow to new heights in the future in both the US and EU.
Going back to Joe Nall, we teased announcements, not a new jet. The announcements were the EU, Admiral Heli's (coming very soon), Me and then Stuart joining this great team. As for Jet Jam, Alpha was dying to get the next jet to Ryan and I for that show, but it just wasn't ready yet. Stuart then was hoping to have it for this show, but the timing just wasn't close enough. These are Alpha's babies and what he says goes. He is a bit of a perfectionist if you haven't noticed.

We'd rather just say project names without any projected release dates so we don't get ahead of ourselves if we announce too early and then a delay happens. We hope everyone can understand that. Had Joe Nall happened, we probably would have said what the next jet coming will be, but then imagine what this thread would be if you still didn't have it since May? We hate to see people upset waiting for what's next, this hobby is supposed to be nothing but fun. Let us worry about the inner workings of the business and we promise some great stuff will be coming for everyone to fly in 2018 and beyond.
Hang tight guys!

I AM SOO SORRY! Well forget about Project Foil, I'm going to save up for an Airwolf. The reason I got into helis was because it was getting harder to find time to go to the airfield, while a heli I can fly around my yardOriginally posted by MotionJB View PostValkpilot - We showed these when I made my debut so to speak. That can was already opened:
the way those guys did.

It is always interesting to see peoples patience start to get uneasy no matter the place. Even over at the DCS flight simulator forums I see the same thing. In the last few years they have released more aircraft modules to add to the simulator than they ever have sine they started. Yet people still get uneasy when too much time has gone by without a new release. The main difference being that most projects are announced before hand so they pretty much have a good idea of what is in the pipeline.
Even knowing what is currently in development is not enough to satisfy some people. In a way it make it worse because then you have those that are upset because their favorite bird is not on the list. Most of them being from the F-16 fan club. And its even harder to develop a full fidelity simulation of a newer military aircraft because they not only need the licensing but all the necessary data.
So if the data is still classified its a no go.
Then there are those like me that have more then enough to stay busy with such as still learning to master the AJS-37 Viggen. But once the F-14 is released at its expected end of the year date it will surly keep me busy and satisfied for a long time.
Now if we ever got an RC Viggen that would pretty much satisfy my EDF needs for a long time. ;) I thought for sure the F-4 Phantom would had satisfied most on here but it just seemed to made them more hungry. LOL

Thanks for the heads up! I'm sure that Horten 229 will be spectacular! HeheOriginally posted by Aros.MotionRC View PostI can guarantee there will be a lot of happy faces in the next several months ahead. Foil will be one of the reasons for that but to piggy back off of Steve, Foil may not necessarily be our next announcement but it IS coming.
Hang tight folks, I promise the next few months will be worth the wait.

I love that Motion plays the "what's next" game with us. It's all about the fun, and it comes out when it comes out. In the meantime, I will fly my A-10, which reminds me how worth while a wait can be. I have wanted a nice big A-10 for a decade! Started with the GWS back in the day. So when FOIL comes out, it will be here. And until then, let MotionRC release no plane until it is time!!

Yep those would all be awesome models.Originally posted by hotdogx View PostEvoman,
F-100 would be OK I guess. With that small intake they'd need a cheater intake for sure! I'm not fond of cheaters because they like to suck up grass clippings after our runway has been mowed. When that happens, the cheater grill gets partially covered, the thrust drops, and the darned jet won't take off. Also makes a mess on the LE of the fan blades with the cuttings that make it through the grill.
I'm afraid I'm in the minority when it comes to my favorite jets, which are Korean War and Cold War jets - F9F Cougar; F-86 Sabre; F4D Skyray; F-106 Delta Dart; F-101 Voodoo; and B-58 Hustler.
