This Cessna Dragonfly is an intriguing possibility, or F-100. Perhaps a T-33?
Scratch the F-100 and T-33. You said one of the clues was "never before done as a foamie", Fly Fly did an F-100, and RC Lander, Sky Angel, and coming soon, HSD have done T-33s.

Woah, so FOIL is an EDF that has NOT been done as a foamie before? Wow, that is very, very intriguing. Are we sure that is a clue from Alpha?
According to andrew_flyguy . It all depends on their definition of foamie and depth of research. There's an English company, Generation V Manufacturing, that has done practically every jet known in Depron.
Well, with today's tech, maybe it is time for a Harrier? Transition is a bear though. But if you have enough thrust to hover, forward flight is going to be fast!
Whatever Project Foil is, I just hope it's really designed for grass ops. The F-4 is close but...the one flying at our field is really tough on the nose gear.
