I think the real message here is, one can never have too many 3D printers.

I almost got the Prusa Mk3 but a heck of a deal came up on a printer from a guy at work which included his assistance plus at the time the Mk3 was still not quite shipping out yet so I went with a modified Anet A8 but I would like to get the Mk3 in the future. I could almost use 2 printers now. Hard to believe I am saying that but it is true.

Although I don't have it yet, this is what I intend to purchase as well. Seems to be very highly recommended by just about everyone I talk to about 3d printing.

Looks like I will be going with the Prusa. It's within my pricing limits and appears to be the one most used among the modelers here. Thanks for the input.

Steve, thanks for the TV plates!
Prusa i3 MK3 Kit Version here as well. I'm very happy with it, no issues at all.

If you want to save $150, the MK2S is a solid performer, and has been a workhorse for me the past year and a half, with over 100 DAYS worth of operating time. Minor issues sprung up over the past ~4 months, but all quick fixes. I am considering purchasing a second printer, and I very likely might just get another MK2S rather than the newer MK3Originally posted by bill34207 View Post
This one (I think) Not a bad price from what I see https://shop.prusa3d.com/en/3d-print...oaAgghEALw_wcB

Yep, that's the one. I got the kit version, and it only took one evening to assemble, maybe 4 hours total. The instruction manual is both very well written, and it is interactive, kind of like a forum thread where users can give tips and assembly advice. It was very helpful to me when something stated in the manual was confusing, but then made clear when it was put into "plain English" for us clueless folk. :)

What are most of you using for a 3D printer? I'm starting to think seriously about investing in one but don't want to drop my life savings in the process.

My dividers came out great! Thanks Radar-Guy! (I'll be printing up the nose gear brace too!)

This is how it looks from the other side. The opening in the foam needs to be enlarged a bit.2 Photos

Thanks for your efforts!! I get the notch over the tear drop fairing but what is the big rectangle part on the sharp edge of the divider?Originally posted by Radar-Guy View PostHere is the second part to improve the air flow in front of the fan. I made similar parts for the Lippisch and the L-39 (divider only, no spar fairing necessary on the Albatros) with noticable performance improvements. Due to the poor weather here I won't be able to do flight-testing in the near future. Happy New Year!
