    I do the same.

They were pretty clear early on that the timeline was very dependent on whether they made it on the boat by CNY or not. I was understanding about a timeline that had 6 weeks of range in it, but by now they know if they made it or not and it's time to narrow down that ETA for customers.

So, by now we should know if the shipment made it out by CNY or not right?

Though it's hard to really tell for sure, I count 7 leads plugged into that RX under the tape, with one empty one, so 8-ch. Their new 10-ch has pins on both ends of the unit. Their new 7-ch has all 7 pins in one end.. Lemon hasn't had an 8-ch RX for a long time now, so perhaps this is some new, upcoming Admiral effort that they don't want shown to the public just yet or it is a stabilized RX that was used in that flight and that too, isn't something they want exposed.
The little gems arrived today. It will have a SAT RX added to it. The extra wire is a voltage probe. Waiting patiently for the Typhoon to arrive.

That fellow at FNRC seemed a little clutzy in this video but I never tire of seeing the Eurofighter getting put together. It is far, far more entertaining than when he did the unboxing video of those golf clubs.

Wes MRC James any chance of a few pictures or a little video of more of the intricacies of the model just to keep us all titillated? not asking for a big presentation but a few quick pics of say looking into the tail pipes, a shot of the power system with the hatch off, the detail on the instrument panel in the cockpit. bits and pieces of interest that you might not see from the videos that are already out?

I understand if its not possible and how unlikely I just wanted to suggest it as the forums around this plane are going a bit stagnant, off topic and are starting to fill up with the usual disagreements

There are pictures one page back. But it’s of 8s in the only plane Motion has so there is no way to know balance. The 6 and 8s fans weigh different.

The inability of an old plane's battery straps to wrap around doesn't necessarily mean this conveys to a new model. Even if it did, a longer battery strap can be made easily and battery compartment renovations are easily done, not to say any of this will be necessary for the new Eurofighter. However, if that is an overwhelming concern, then cancel. You can always get in on the second batch later in the year if it comes to that. RC Castle has sold out of their first batch. Who's to say Motion's first batch won't be sold out by the time the boat reaches LA.
Where exactly have the posted pictures? All I am looking for is to see how the batteries fit in the plane and that CG can be achieved. As far as anything else, I am confused as to why motion RC is dedicating so much time to the 6s version when they are selling both (yes, I know that they only have the pre-production 6s but the airframe is exactly the same as the 8s). If there are pictures please post a link to them as I would love to see them.

He's comparing it to a plane that came out 9 years ago and was never designed for 8S. Enough said. Silly to be worried about it and if he is that worried simply wait.

Go mad and modify it to be a 2 seater. Be plenty of space under a big old 3D printed turtledturtledeck 🤣

They have posted pictures and you are comparing this new release to a plane from long ago, far far away. If you are that worried it probably is best to cancel.

Has motion posted any pictures of 8s packs in the battery area? This is concerning to me as I have the feeling that this is going to be like the F-16 where I can't use large packs and get the strap around them. I pre-ordered the day they announced and am considering cancelling until they post pictures of the batteries in and the CG.

When they cancel it’ll push them into the second shipment… could be early to mid summer…

I see the cancellations have begun @RC Guppy with this latest update. I suppose for some, this is a lot of money to have in limbo for so long.

For all of Motion's customers on this product, I also hope that is the case as well. Here's my take on it. I think that had RCC got their allotment, Motion's first allotment would have been sent to the ship docks about the same time frame. Had RCC shipped mine out today (which was the plan), Motion's would have been getting loaded into the container at the dock, then onto the ship. Once the ship is loaded up, it would have left port, likely to arrive on the western USA port, unloaded and trucked to Motion. This would have hit Motion's shipping/receiving near end of February, fitting into Motion's ETA of mid-Feb. to end of March, most likely just post mid-February.
Now, we have a 1 month delay, so pushing everything to the latter time frame, still within the original ETA range. If nothing else unforeseen happens in China, you might see your plane before you leave home. However, we've seen so many horrible events happen lately with weather, travel, new Covid strains, etc, it wouldn't hurt to keep fingers and toes crossed, hang up that horse shoe and dust off the old rabbit's foot. (It also depends on the type of sea shipping chosen for this sort of merchandise. It can take as little as 2 weeks to as long as 40 days.)
