Absolutely... Maybe good test pilots/tuners are becoming harder to find?

Send me planes... I'll let you know REALLY quick lol

I just can't believe this made it to final mold with such a critical issue like battery placement/cg flexibility... Insane.

Now even on a 4000 (Which is unacceptable for a 90mm combo) this plane is severely nose heavy...

How can these planes be released with such a poorly designed battery bay? The builkhead should've been removed or designed around like the original Euro and the EDF could've easily been mounted further aft to avoid this huge issue.

Can we get some insight as to how this was missed from Freewing?

Having to add tailweight to a plane that could've easily been designed properly is just unacceptable considering how much time went into everything else on the plane (Which is beautifully done IMO)
Something is not quite right. I'm going fly this with twin 6000mah, 4s batteries weighing a total of about >900g and with both batteries pushed as far back as possible, I can achieve a CG of about 10mm AFT of the marks on the wing. If you use a 6s battery weighing less thatn 900g, it should not be nose heavy. When I use my twin SMC HV, I'll relocate the control box and slide one battery on it's edge up into that spot OR I'll just use that supplied cylindrical weight they provided.

Mine's all done - steering gyro installed, RX gyro set on master gain, throws/expo set, everything seems to work - reverse, airbrake - all good. Balances a few mm behind CG marks when using twin Coddar, 4s, 6000mah, HV. Just need to hang it up and wait for spring. A foot of snow on my deck in some places, more to come, -33C overnite in 2 days. It's only -20C now.

my buddy called me captain Splosh the other day. He said Its a mix of Captain Blaz and the sound of my models landing in the sea... seems I've gone and got myself a reputation

So... decals do not lift with microset... they look nice and flush now though, setting nicely into the panel lines

looks like I'm going with the kitty cat for now until have the time and equipment to do a full respray into an RAF scheme.

Disagree. Anyone who in the past has scratch built a model could do it and make it look great too. Trouble is, so few have the skill to do that any more.

Although I highly doubt it, I was quite surprised when they announced the vector nozzles for the MiG29. However, that announcement came even before the plane actually arrived in the US. If they had it mind to do the same on this one, we would have heard about it long ago.
I have 2 sets of vector nozzles from my old SebArt twin 700mm MiG29 and my first SU35. The nozzle outlets seems very close in size to the stock outlets on this Typhoon, maybe slightly bigger. I sure if one wanted to, one could rip and tear the back end and cobble together some kind of vectored back end. It would look like Frankenstein and I'd be ashamed to have it seen at any field.

You always have the option of kit-bashing. Get the MiG29 VT kit (nozzles are the right size) and surgically implant the functional parts into your Eurofighter.

Foamies have caused our skills to atrophy, when we see that the most challenging aspect of this model is how to remove or apply decals..

Doubt it. It would require a redesign and different molds.

Here's the latest video from Wes (MotionRC) doing a speed run. On 6S, no armament, it clocked 147mph. HOWEVER, this was start off from a very steep power dive from quite high up. I always thought that speed recordings were done on a straight and level power pass with no initial dive to get it going. If you pull out of the dive as close as possible to the radar gun, the faster speed you can record.
