Ordered said delivery for Thursday so unfortunately will have to wait a little longer to try this. I did power it up on a 4s 2200 50c going to try the 2200 100c next sounds amazing with what feels like great thrust have to hold her back pretty good. The FMS 64 is out for delivery today will install that in the stock plane maybe be able to fly later if the winds calm

Maybe take the balls off the other plane and when your new ones come in replace them?

Very good option to think on I’ll check the weather see what it says about the winds for today. If they’re gonna calm or be calm for tomorrow might as well swap them over to see how this thing flies. A little disappointed the ESC in the description says reverse thrusting this one doesn’t have the extra wire no issues landing without just makes the area that much shorter. I just ordered a Skywalker V2 60amp that has reverse thrust I’ll keep as a spare if this works like I am hoping

I got the 60amp F16 ESC in the description for the plane it said reverse thrust. Actually glad you just replied I bought the Freewing they sent me a 60amp Skywalker not that I’m opposed the Skywalker however thrust reverse is what I expected to get

Assuming you are talking about the 70mm FreeWing F-16 ESC, the V2 did not have reversing and the V3 does. But looking at the camo one (others may be the same) even though the description of the plane says it has reversing the spare parts ESC does not have reversing. They should send you the proper one.

Freewing just puts a different label on the Skywalkers and sells them as their brand.

The ones I got from Freewing had reverse thrust enabled by default, and the ones I got direct from Hobbywing had it disabled by default and I had to enable it (I used the Hobbywing LED programming card**).

As Evan wrote, if you ordered one with reverse thrust (an extra control lead) and didn't get one, they should replace it.

**The Skywalker V2 (the one with reverse) uses a different programming card from the V1. I found the programming card much easier than wiggling the sticks to program the ESC, well worth the $9.99 it cost from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/HobbyWing-LED...00AX69CCI?th=1

When I called customer service yesterday I was told the V2 70 didn’t have thrust reverse but the Camo 70 F16 does say it has thrust reverse and that’s what I ordered. He did say I could return it, I’ll just keep it use on prop plane that I don’t care about reverse anyways. I also asked why they don’t list which ball link stops to use etc, what I was told that neither department works with each other. Reminds me of the automobile dealerships sales doesn’t communicate with service body shop etc then back the other way.

Ok I speak it as it is gentlemen and whomever said throw a FMS 64mm 3150 does not mention the housing is smaller in diameter so along with mounting brackets no where close to being able to securely screw the EDF down. Not saying I cannot machine a piece of board then insulate the EDF carrier area, I am very familiar with airflow performance was the only DynoJet authorized user in my area for many years and you can not have a gap or airflow goes to poo 💩. You cannot swap the motors to another chassis one is collet style the other has a shaft with a key way installed so unless I want to machine more the FMS 64 3150 is out not gonna happen. To the good side the new Skywalker 60amp ESC shipped says will be here tomorrow or Thursday along with all the other parts I ordered from Motion and 3 day shipped. I’d share pics but doc day new medication and I’ve blown a hour for nothing 🤬. Well guys looks as though the 64mm 6’s is gonna happen either way on the old airframe or the new time to order new ESC EDF batteries and now a charger as well good thing I have money to blow on toys

You’ll be happy with the 6s 64. Kind of interested in if the 70 will work too.

It’s getting close now have a bunch of ESC EDF spares I guess for some future projects I guess. I really enjoy the F16 fly style I’m not much of rolls etc more fast speed and Alpha flights. Have been looking at a few other planes cannot make up my mind 70mm V3 F16 but I’ve been looking at it for a bit now. Hopeful this 70mm upgrade is going to work well so far looks promising

If you like the F16 you wouldn't be disappointed with the 70mm V3.

I do really like it I know some go on about it being easy to tip I’ve had no issues there just slow movements on rudder line your take offs up with throttle control. I have also looked at the Flyfans Gripen from Banana, Fed Ex was a no show yesterday even though it said out for delivery. Very little to finish to test this 70mm upgrade if they show early enough today we will give her a maiden flight

I guess it’s time to call Fed Ex day 4 same message out for delivery but pending status as well. Kinda stinks don’t want to steal from another plane to test this mod plane along with having Christmas gifts in this shipment as well. Have no idea what’s going on with Fed Ex I pay for 3 day shipping I expect to receive my packages in a timely fashion. Will wait until after Christmas at this point to order the 70mm F16 Freewing batteries along with charger. I did receive my 2600 4s SMC batteries yesterday so will fly the stock 64 today beautiful here no more than 5mph winds in the forecast

I’m located a little west of Ocean City Maryland, can say I like the SMC packs so far seem to have more rear end than the Spektrum 2200’s 50c packs.
